A1D00168720 A1D00168720 The stencil printing process for solder paste application on PCBs is inf luenced by many different parameters (e.g. printer, stencil, paste, sque egee, component range ...). To assess the process window for a given com bination of printing equipment, stencil and solder paste, an evaluation procedure has been developed. For a given process setup, this procedure allows to gather all necessary information to find the optimum printing parameters, the impact of line downtimes and finally, the suitable compo nent range, independently from the application. Deliverables: Report, wh ich shows in detail, if the current process meets the requirements of th e customers actual and future products. Required resources for standard procedure: Siemens: 2 persons, material: stencil, PCBs. Customer: equipm ent, paste, operator (preferred: from machine manufacturer) for 3 Days o n site.
